Día
After moving to the gathering point and listening to some rules and necessary notes during the trip, we will depart for Sin Ho Vietnam at about 8:30 am. Our crew will follow Road 4D to go through Sapa town. The road passes several beautiful waterfalls before reaching the top of Tram Ton Pass – the highest mountain road in Vietnam at an altitude of 1,900 m above sea level. If it falls on a nice weather day, fortunately, you will easily see the pass snaking around the mountains, marking the border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces.
Continue to motorcycle further; we will meet Fansipan peak, known as the “The Roof of Indochina” with a 3143 m. Tram Ton Pass meanders through more pristine alpine settings to the town of Tam Duong. Keep riding northwest on Road 4D for 40km to Lai Chau. Located between two famous tourist destinations of Northwest Vietnam – Sapa and Dien Bien, Lai Chau attracts visitors with the charming beauty of hundreds of peaks, gorgeous waterfalls, and friendly faces. If you visit Lai Chau in September or October, do not forget to look for some stunning valleys of the vast golden rice terraced fields. They are so incredible!
From Lai Chau City, keep moving on Road 4D to reach Phong Tho town. Then, the Da River valley will be our next destination. The road is in good condition but deteriorates when it becomes Road 12. Conquer another 30km long road to Chan Nua Junction; a majestic valley will spread out to your eyes. At the junction, turn left onto Road 128 to enjoy the beautiful view and head to Sin Ho. Cutting a path in the mountainside, this 40km long zigzag road offers wonderful views of peaceful villages, farmland, and romantic rivers.
Nestled on a small plateau at an altitude of 1,000m above sea level, the weather in Sin Ho is quite cold, especially in the evening. So remember to bring your jacket. Our motorbike team will stop by a local homestay for dinner and rest after a long day of riding.
