To get to Mai Chau from Hanoi, our crew will follow the street of Hanoi – Xuan Mai – Luong Son – Hoa Binh – Muong Khen – Mai Chau. The road runs along Highway 6, the shortest and fastest way to reach Mai Chau.
Expectedly, at 11:30 pm, our Northwest tour team can set foot at Thung Khe Pass. At this pass, our whole group can stop and enjoy boiled corn, take some souvenir photos, then keep moving ahead.
Though the road is quite steep and it might make you tired of climbing and get sunstroke. But it is surely unforgettable memory for you when joining a 7-day looping Northwest Vietnam with Vietnam Motorbike Tour guided. After that, we continue our journey heading up to Northwest Vietnam. Only when it comes to the forest, you will feel overwhelmed by the beauty of the northwestern forest. Perhaps the flower begins to bloom this time, and the scene becomes even more appealing and romantic.
This night we will stay at a hotel with standard quality in Mai Chau.

The second day of the tour starts with a plan of getting to the day’s final destination, Phu Yen. Hence, after saying goodbye to our friendly host in Mau Chai, our team continues the Vietnam road trip today with an easy-to-ride road. Since the road is a single-track provincial, it is easy for you to witness the tranquil and peaceful sceneries on the two sides of the road.
As coming to Phu Yen, our crew will encounter Hua Tat pass. You surely will be surprised by the beautiful scenery along the road pass, which on one side is high mountains and on the other is a valley with plum trees. Vehicle on the road is rare. Sometimes, until the end of the pass, you can meet a group of ethnic Hmong girls walking and playing.
Then we turn into road no 43, passing Da river. To cross Da river, we can get on a ferry. For lunch, we can have a meal at Hua Tat pass.
Hopefully, our tour team can arrive at Phu Yen in the afternoon and spend a sleep night there.

Today is from Phu Yen, passing Lung Lo pass to get on highway no 37 then reach Mu Cang Chai.
With a length of 15km, 57 years ago, Lung Lo Pass was the arterial road connecting to Road no. 6 to transfer troops and supply food to serve the resistance, defeating the Dien Bien Phu stronghold during the war.
Standing at the windy mountain peaks, you will be overwhelmed by the pristine, majestic beauty of the green valleys, terraced fields, and ripe yellow corn fields dotted by cattle farms lying at the foot of mountains.
When lunchtime ends, our crew gathers and carries on riding the motorcycle to Mu Cang Chai. We are expected to arrive at the end of the evening. Enjoy the fresh atmosphere here with a fine dinner at a hotel in Mu Cang Chai.

After having enough energy from our breakfast in Mu Cang Chai, our crew will ride straight to the road called QI37, which leads to O Quy Ho pass. If we arrive at the pass early, we can have a view of high mountains covered in white clouds and take a short ride to visit Silver Falls before starting our Sapa motorbike tour.
Not only owning a natural beauty, but Sapa is also special for its cultural beauty and colorful festivals. Sapa with highland market sessions is held on Sunday every week. It is a meeting place for ethnic boys and girls.
They confessed to each other through the flamboyant flute, and the girls were out of grace through the flamboyant dances in the most beautiful costumes. At the weekly market in Sapa, you can participate in games such as throwing the cotton ball, pao, and other fun activities with a crowd of people. You can also choose an item as a visiting market here made by the skillful hands of the workers here.
Spending a day at Sapa exploring and discovering it might make you exhausted; hence, having a night’s sleep here is not a bad idea as we stay at a hotel in Sapa before departure tomorrow.

Today’s road trip will cost you a distance of 240 km. The plan for the 5th day of Off-road Northern Vietnam Motorbike Tours – 7 Days towards Northwest regions is to ride from Sapa down to Lao Cai city and meet the Chinese border region. The interesting thing when visiting Vietnam – China border is the busy scene of exchanging goods between people in the two countries. The coffee here is another plus point as it has good taste at a low price. Then leaving the border, our crew ride to Viet Quang to move to Ha Giang.
Along the way to Viet Quang, it is common to see some remote villages and local markets there. Lunchtime for today is in Viet Quang. We hope to get close to Ha Giang in a little late afternoon.
The fifth trip of the 7-day off-road Vietnam Motorbike Tour towards the Northwest regions ends with a fine dinner and great overnight at a homestay whose host is an ethnic family in Ha Giang.

On the way to Vu Linh, our team will pass a lake named Thac Ba. From there, we follow a small road that has two sides of palm trees, together with great mountains. Ride for more few kilometers; the road becomes better and larger with beautiful views.
That is when we get closer to Vu Linh. After approximately 6 hours of sitting on your motorbikes, our tour team arrives in Vu Linh and spends the 6th night here when you are welcome in the hospitality of the local host.

On the last day to return to our city, there are several ways of returning. However, it seems that they are busy and crowded.
As a suggestion from the experience of the Vietnam Motorbike Tour guide, we recommend to you a much safer and shorter road that will pass through a green tea plantation. We promise it will be a part of your best off-road Vietnam Motorcycle Tour. Only the last 15km close to the city center is busy and slow.
